Our Motive

Discrimination and the marginalization of cultures play a massive part in the history of the human race and still are prevalent in today's modern society. Our motive to raise awareness about the current refugee crisis stems from this simple fact. We aim to further educate the people of this issue, its injustices, and what we must do to help support our Syrian brothers and sisters in their quest to attain a sense of security. Through our efforts, we hope to help end the discrimination against refugees and to provide an insight of what it is like to be one of the millions of asylum-seekers.

WHY CARE?

Syrian refugees, desperate for just the slightest amounts of kindness and generosity, deserve the same amount of respect and care that is given to everyone else. They are as much human as the rest of us and they deserve more than what they have been provided with. For most, everything they once held so dearly has disappeared. They have seen their homes fall and seen loved ones die. Why care? It’s simple. What if it were you? We are one race and we need to look out for each other as best we can and start to move past all of our prejudices and see what is most important right now.
